The New Racism on Television: this is why i’ll always ask you to be mindful of what you applaud. much damage can come from what we seek for “entertainment” purposes. are you entertained? sure, but at who’s expense?
we all identify ourselves as part of different communities. the black community, the college community, the christian community, the muslim community, the upper east side community… like it or not, you’ve been integrated. we need to indetify ourselves as individuals, yes, but individuals acting on behalf of a community. the words, the actions, the depictions that we put on display can and will either negatively or positively reflect upon your communities.

Being a Responsible Consumer means we must have control of the entertainment we are fed as well.
